New Community Bus
Mudchute was delighted to be presented with a brand new community minibus recently by Richard and Joy Desmond, and their children Angel and Valentine on behalf of Northern and Shell PLC.
The community bus was organised by the Variety Club, with a donation from the East End Community Foundation, and the remaining funding provided by Northern Shell.
Isle of Dogs residents will recognise the cheerful blue design of the bus, which replaces a previous vehicle, and is available for use by local community clubs and charities. The bus has a very special role to play at Mudchute as it fulfils various roles, including:
After school club collection and drop offs.
Education centre transport for schools
Community event transport, such as pensioner away days
