MINIBEAST WORKSHOP

What is a Minibeast Workshop?

The day begins with an introduction to minibeasts, what do they look like, where can they be located…

The group will then be spilt into 3 groups. Adults are also encouraged to participate in the activity.

• Group 1 will start investigating under logs

• Group 2 will look under stones and rocks

• Group 3 will be looking at trees, plants and shrubs

The groups will be given props to help them record the data of their findings.

Back to the classroom where the children will try to identify their findings with help from their adults. They will have the opportunity to draw and add facts about the minibeast they have found.

In their groups they will share there findings with the rest of the groups, this will be done on the talking carpet, adults will help to.
