MUDCHUTE EDUCATION SERVICES FOR SCHOOLS
The Mudchute Education Centre provides a unique resource for schools and local children. The Education Centre works with local schools by providing structured activities and courses in Environmental education, Science and Horticultural topics. These are linked to the needs of the National Curriculum and focus on a wide range of subjects, including Biology of plants and animals, Geography, Environmental issues, Art, English and Maths. The centre also offers a well-resourced 'Living Classroom'.
The Education Centre has a classroom, a large wildlife area attracting a wide diversity of animals and plants, the Nature Trail, two ponds, hedgerows and grassland. Mudchute is continually improving its facilities for both education and public purposes providing an experience of country life for London’s inner-city and an excellent base for study.
We are happy for schools to suggest activities based on topics or areas of study that we may incorporate into any new workshops /activities.
