School Multi Week Programs

Mudchute Park and Farm offer block sessions for schools. 4 to 12 week programs available.

Each student receives a folder to keep their photo evidence and their achievement certificates that they will be given at the end of their block session. Each activity runs for 4 weeks with the option to add a combination of any of the activities

The certificates they would be working towards are as follows

1. Open Space –involves working on the 32 acre farm land, you could be litter picking, Mulching animal areas, helping maintain our wild flower areas, cutting back bushes and hedge rows to sweeping and clearing pathways.

2. Donkey care – involves how to approach donkeys and to be safe around them. Learning the basic grooming kit and their uses, how to groom, Putting on head collars and learning how to lead safely. Also learning how to muck / skip out and to know the difference between both

3. Small animal care – involves working with small animals for example; rabbits, guinea pigs and poultry, this will include cleaning beds, cleaning water and feed bowls and replenishing them. Also doing health checks and helping with animal enrichment.
