Christmas in the Woodlands
Christmas in the Woodlands: A Mudchute Family Celebration
Festive fun for all the family, as you meet Father Christmas and his elves, enjoy story time with Mother Christmas and more as part of our magical Christmas experience.
Walk through the small forest wearing the special Christmas sparkle glasses supplied by the elves, look into the lights and you will see them transformed.
Make reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve as an extra special treat for Donna, Blitzen, Vixen, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Cupid, Dasher and of course Rudolph.
Help the elves in their workshop create decorations.
At the post office write your letter to Father Christmas – hand it to the elf post master who will make sure it goes straight to Father Christmas. And if you've been a good, you might just get a reply.
Enjoy a story with Mother Christmas and meet the ‘Reindeer sheep’ before you find out if you’ve made the good list and meet Father Christmas.

Due to cosy nature of Father Christmas’s cabin and the other activities we can only allow a maximum of 6 in a group.
The number of people in your booking is the number of people that will see Father Christmas at once.
-
Roughly 45 minutes there’s a few activities to do before you meet Father Christmas.
-
Tickets can be booked in person at the Main Office in the Courtyard online.
Once booked we will ask you to provide some details for the child; age, siblings, best friends, pets, achievements so we can personalise their visit with Father Christmas and make it extra special.
-
In between the lower field and the nursery, please follow the signs from the main entrance and courtyard.
-
Please make your way to the elf arrivals desk at the entrance to the trail. We will need your child’s name from the booking, so our elves can check they are on the good list!
-
We would ask you to arrive at the trail 10 minutes before your allocated time.
The farm is open from 9 am for you to enjoy before and after the visit with Father Christmas.
-
The experience is outdoors in a natural setting, we therefore recommend you wear appropriate footwear and wrap up warm. Not even Father Christmas has control over the weather, so you may need your waterproofs too!
You are also welcome to add some Christmas sparkle to your outfit or even come dressed as an elf.
-
Due to the farm setting some of the pathways may be a little muddy, pushchairs and prams may find the ground too soft, therefore we ask that you park your wheels (including bicycles and scooters) in the lower field before entering the trail. Please note that these are left at owners responsibility.
-
Wheelchair access is limited, due to the soft ground. It may be possible for your child to visit with Father Christmas but not access all the areas where the additional activities are taking place. Please talk to the team at the Farm office regarding your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate.
There will be two relaxed experiences hosted on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 10th at 10am.
Our relaxed experiences are open to those with autism, learning disabilities and sensory communication needs who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.
These tickets can be booked at the Farm office only, so we can understand the requirements of your party and ensure that your visit goes as smoothly as possible.
-
Yes, please feel free to bring your own camera and take photographs throughout your visit.
Please remember to tag us on social media #mudchutefarm
-
Once you have visited Father Christmas, we would ask that a grown up collect the tree ornament, as the one decorated by the children in the elf workshop, from the table located outside the popup shops in the stable area. These will be disguised in paper bags but we would suggest you don’t bring eagle eyes children with you when collecting.
These tree ornaments can then be added to your tree on Christmas Eve as a surprise from Father Christmas.
-
You will be able to buy a variety of drinks and snacks at the farm.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. There are picnic areas around the farm.

Visit the animals – the farm is free to all.
The winter treasure hunt – find the snowmen located around the farm to receive a sweet treat. Trail sheet scan be purchased from the Farm Office, located in the main courtyard for £1 each.
