The new Lambs have started arriving

Hey everyone! Exciting news from Mudchute Park and Farm - the new lambs have started arriving.  πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ It's always such a joy to see new life on the farm, especially when it's as cute and fluffy as these little ones.

At Mudchute we keep four breeds of sheep which are all lambing at the moment.  We have the Norfolk Horn, the Oxford Down, the White Face Woodlands and finally the little brown Soays.  All of these breeds are rare and native to the UK, and as Mudchute is London’s only rare breeds approved conservation centre, they are part of the national rare breeding programme.  Conservation in action!

Once the weather warms up the lambs will be out on show bounding around the fields at Mudchute for you to see on your next visit.

We are expecting the lambing to continue into mid May, and we will be reporting all the news on social media, so please follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
